Some clients wake up and cannot tell whether it is Tuesday morning or Saturday night. This calendar day clock answers that question without anyone having to be asked. It spells the day, the time and the date out in full words on a backlit LED screen, with no abbreviations and no clock face to interpret.
It works for a client with dementia, memory loss or delirium recovery who is disoriented to day and time, and for a client with low vision. Put it where they wake or where they eat, at eye level from the chair they use most. The larger screen is the one to choose for a lounge room, or where the client sits well back from it.
It sits on a bedside table or hangs on a wall, and it runs from mains power, so there is no battery to change and no clock to reset after a flat cell.
