The CuroCell AREA Zone is a hybrid mattress for clients at risk of pressure injury who are better off without a pump running beside the bed. Foam carries the body while air cells set across zones take pressure off the areas that load hardest, and the built in heel section gives extra offloading where breakdown starts most often.
Who it suits
It suits people being nursed in bed for long periods at home, in aged care or on a ward, including clients with an existing pressure injury being treated up to category three. Because it runs without power it is a sensible choice for rural placements, for clients who are disturbed by pump noise, and for beds that move between rooms.
For carers, setup is straightforward and there is no pump to service or alarm to answer. The hygiene cover stretches with the client, resists fluid at the zip and can be laundered at ward temperatures.
