About this product

An easy release seatbelt for a wheelchair or a chair, made for clients who forget that they need help to stand. The belt works as a reminder and a delay, not a restraint: the person can release the buckle, and when they do, the alarm tells the carer that they are about to get up.

It uses standard seatbelt webbing with a metal buckle in a plastic casing, and the ends are metal reinforced so it stays put where it is fitted. Length adjusts to suit the chair and the person. Connected to a compatible Cura1 falls monitor, unfastening the buckle raises the alert, which gives a carer time to reach the client before a transfer starts.

Any belt on a chair needs a restrictive practice conversation, and your clinical team will want to document the decision.
