The Coraille is a mobile care chair for someone who needs to be seated comfortably for long periods and moved around the home or facility while they stay in the chair. It rolls on two large braked rear wheels and two smaller steering wheels at the front, and it is built for indoor and outdoor use, so a resident can go out to the courtyard without a transfer at either end.
Who it suits
It suits clients with poor sitting tolerance, low trunk control or fatigue that builds through the day. The back angle and the tilt of the seat adjust independently, which lets a clinician set an upright position for meals and a reclined one for rest, and gravity assists the tilt so a carer is not fighting the chair. The legrests adjust, take the weight of the legs and come off entirely when they are in the way, and the footplate is spring mounted.
A padded headrest and a memory foam seat cushion come as standard, along with a safety harness. Two seat sizes are available, including a wider model.
