For a young self propeller who has stopped growing and wants the lightest chair Melrose builds, the Hawk Ultra is the one. It takes the standard Hawk’s titanium frame and strips out the adjustable position matrix, and the frame answers with a more immediate, responsive ride.
Because the adjustment hardware is gone, everything is set at manufacture instead. Seat width, length and height are built to the individual’s measurements, so the fit is exact from day one and there is nothing to slip or rattle later. Comfort does not get traded away for the performance: back upholstery is adjustable, the footplate angle can be set, and the accessory list runs to skirt guards, under chair bags, spoke guards and a wide choice of wheels and tyres.
A client who still needs room to grow, or whose seating is likely to change, is better served by the Hawk Growable.
