About this product

The Veloce is for the client who travels. Built around a one piece T700 carbon fibre frame, it folds side to side and the footrest folds with it, so nothing has to be unbolted or left behind to get the chair into a boot or through an airport.

What makes it worth the money is that the folding action does not cost the ride. The moulded carbon cross brace keeps the frame rigid while pushing, so the chair responds much more like a rigid frame than a traditional folder, and the carbon takes the edge off vibration at the same time. The frame alone is light enough that most users can lift it one handed, and a heavy duty kit is available for heavier clients.

Every chair is built to script. Frame angle, rear axle position, camber, back height and angle are all set for the client at manufacture and can be adjusted later, and the forged vertical axle plate has built in bubble levels so changes can be made accurately.

Who it suits

An active self propeller, for example with paraplegia, lower limb amputation or spina bifida, who drives or flies regularly and wants a chair that folds without losing the responsiveness of a rigid frame. The wide seat height and centre of gravity range also make it a good fit for a client with good trunk control who wants to tune the chair over time. A client who transfers with a hoist or needs tilt, a high back or postural seating is better served by a configured folding chair such as the Helio C2 or a tilt-in-space chair.
