The Theorem Winslow runs five motors: the lift, the backrest, the leg rest, an aircraft style headrest that adjusts for height, and the lumbar support. Every one of them moves on its own, so the chair can be set for a client’s posture rather than moved through a fixed recline. It also goes into a zero gravity position and tilts into Trendelenburg.
Control is by a hand wand with a USB charging port or from the Theorem app on an iOS or Android phone, which suits a client who manages a phone more easily than a handset, or a carer setting the chair from across the room.
It earns its place where positional change is the point: a client with oedema who needs legs above heart level, a client with reflux or breathing difficulty who needs the head and back set separately from the legs, or a person with neck weakness who benefits from the powered headrest. Choose Petite for a shorter client or one with a short lower leg, so the feet reach the floor in the lift position. A client who only needs help to stand and sits upright most of the day will get the same lift function from a simpler single or dual motor chair for a lot less.
