The Molift Rail System is Etac’s ceiling track for Molift Air hoists, and this is the standard straight rail in the OC/P profile. It comes in three profile heights, and that is the whole design decision: the taller the profile, the further the rail spans between ceiling fixings, so the structure above the plasterboard decides which one a room gets.
Rails can be cut to length, joined, curved and combined into traverse systems that cover a whole room, or a bedroom and its ensuite together. Fixings, end stops, trolleys and the hoist itself are ordered separately once the site has been assessed. In-Rail Charging is an option, so the hoist charges anywhere it is parked on the track.
It suits a client who needs regular hoisted transfers at home or in supported accommodation, where a floor hoist will not fit the room or asks too much of the carer. The shallowest profile suits short single-room runs with fixings close together, while the taller profiles suit longer spans, heavier hoist loads and traverse layouts. If the tenancy or the building will not allow ceiling fixings, a freestanding gantry with the same Molift Air hoist is the alternative.
