Repositioning a plus size client in bed by hand is where care teams get hurt. This sling stays under the client and lets the hoist do the work: the team lifts, moves the client up the bed or across to another flat surface in a supine position, and lowers them again.
It is a reusable sling that washes at a high temperature and tumble dries, so it can run through a normal laundry cycle and go back under the same client. Keeping a repositioning sling in place also means the client is not being rolled repeatedly just to place equipment.
