Some clients can reach, but cannot hold a squeeze long enough to carry anything. The power grip version of the Aktiv reacher answers that. The handle is angled to keep the wrist straight and a forearm support steadies the whole lever, so the forearm and the hand share the pull.

The jaws turn and lock in two positions, horizontal or vertical, so a client can line up on a tin on a shelf or a garment on the floor without twisting the arm. Rubber-coated jaws hold the smallest items as well as bulky ones, and a magnet in the handle takes care of keys and coins. The hook on the jaws adds push and pull for dressing tasks.

The longer shaft suits floor to shelf reaching around the home.
