Where a service runs high volumes of measurements, the seca 286 lets the client measure themselves. Ultrasonic sensors take the height in seconds without anyone lowering a headpiece, and optional voice guidance talks the person through standing correctly.
That takes pressure off staff during screening rounds and repeat monitoring, and it removes the handling step for clients who would rather not be touched. Three pairs of sensors and constant automatic calibration keep the reading honest.
Weight is taken on the same platform, BMI is calculated automatically, and height and weight can be sent straight into an electronic record or a PC. A privacy cover for the display is included so the numbers are not on show to a waiting room.
