Adductors sit on the outside of the thighs and stop the legs falling away from midline. They suit a client with low tone through the hips whose knees roll out when they relax, taking the pelvis into an asymmetric position with them.
Keeping the legs contained does more than tidy the look of the sitting position. It holds weight even through both sides of the pelvis, which gives the trunk a level base and makes the difference between a client who can sustain an activity and one who slides into a collapse after a few minutes.
They mount on the seat, adjust in and out for width, and come off quickly for transfers. Supplied as a pair.
