Loading a fork or spoon takes a surface to push against. The Hi-Lo Scoop Plate builds that surface into the plate: one side rises to a vertical wall that food can be pushed up against, while the opposite side stays low so food can be scooped onto the utensil without lifting it over a rim.
It suits clients eating one handed after a stroke, and anyone whose dexterity, reach or strength makes a flat plate frustrating. The plate can be turned to whichever orientation the client works best in, and the rubber coated base stops it travelling across the table while they work.
The plate is unbreakable, latex free, light to lift and goes through the dishwasher, which matters in shared and supported living settings.
