An angled spoon earns its place when a client has limited wrist and forearm movement and cannot rotate the hand to keep the bowl level on the way to the mouth. The angle is built into the shaft, so the spoon does the supination the wrist can no longer manage.
The shaft is bendable stainless steel and can be adjusted a little further to suit the individual, which is useful when you are fitting to a fixed contracture or a habitual arm position. The handle is shaped for a stable, comfortable hold, and the whole piece is light so it does not add to the effort of lifting.
This is the left hand version. It is dishwasher safe and holds up to everyday use in a home or a residential setting.
