A bed sensor earns its place with clients who transfer unsafely but will not ring for help, whether through habit, aphasia or cognitive change. This Universal pad sits on the mattress under the sheet and raises the alert when their weight comes off it.
The full width design is the detail that matters clinically. Because the sensing area spans the bed, a client who rolls or shifts position stays detected, and staff are not worn down by false alarms that eventually get the system turned off. The alarm resets automatically when the person returns to bed, so a carer who responds to a brief toilet trip does not have to walk back to the monitor.
It runs corded to a monitor or cordless through a Cura1 transmitter, so it fits an existing setup either way. The PVC surface is non-allergenic and wipes clean.
