Wall-mounted call points are fine until the person cannot reach them. The Cura1 2638 is a corded push-button pendant that plugs into a standard nurse call socket at the bed head and signals the system exactly as the built-in call point does, with the button in the resident’s hand instead of on the wall.
The button is large enough to be pressed with a palm or a weak hand, and the pendant is light enough to clip to bedding or a chair arm and stay there. There is no battery and no charging, so it cannot go flat overnight and there is nothing for staff to check on a round. It wipes clean between residents. Where a Cura1 falls monitor is already occupying the wall socket, a Cura1 Y lead lets the pendant share the same call point rather than forcing a choice between the two.
It is for residents and patients in a facility with a wired nurse call system: bed-bound clients, clients with limited reach, or a bed already fitted with a falls monitor. It plugs into that wired system, so it needs a nurse call socket at the bed head to work.
