This push brace mounts to the seat, so the handle travels with the seat when the chair is raised, lowered or tilted. For a carer that means the push position stays the same whatever height the chair is set to.
Seat mounting also keeps the back of the base clear, which helps where a carer needs to stand close, or where the chair is used at a table and a base-mounted brace would foul the chair legs.
Like all push braces it is for steering and moving the chair on level ground. It should not be used to lift the chair or take it up or down steps.
