Some bathrooms simply do not give a TubBuddy the run it needs. The shorter bridge closes that gap by reducing the span between the base unit and the bath, so the system can be set up in a room that would otherwise rule it out.
The build is aluminium and it fits both the SB2 and the tilting SB2T. It can go on the order with a new chair or be added later if a client moves house or the bathroom is renovated. Once fitted, the rolling chair crosses over the bath edge the same way it always has, with the carer guiding the chair, not lifting the person.
It is worth measuring the space with the client in the chair, not just the empty room, so the turning circle at the doorway is included.
