Some clients sit between a paediatric width and a full adult width. The A-P2 arms are made for exactly that group: close enough to keep a smaller adult or older child supported through the shower, without crowding the hips.
They flip away so the carer has a clear path for a lateral transfer, then drop and lock for the shower. Fitting them is the same job as fitting the standard arms, and they can be bought with a new chair or added to one already in service.
The arms are removable, so the chair can be reconfigured as the person grows or their posture changes. For a support coordinator that means one piece of equipment with a longer useful life and a cheaper change later on.
