A lower back extension adds posterior support below the standard back on a Wombat Living, giving the lumbar spine and sacrum something firm to sit against. It suits a child who sacral sits, slides forward through the day, or loses their lumbar curve as they fatigue.
Because the extension works low down, it tends to improve everything above it: a better pelvic position usually brings the trunk more upright and the head into a better line for looking and eating without adding more restraint higher up.
It is finished in black to match the chair’s upholstery and fits the standard Wombat Living back.
