The Etac Swift is a shower chair that can be three different things. Take the backrest and arm supports off and it is a stool; fit the back and it is a chair; add the arms and the client has support to lower onto and rise from. One product covers a range of clients, and it can change as a client’s needs change.
The contoured seat has a non-slip surface, drainage holes and a front recess for washing and personal care. Legs adjust for height without tools, so a therapist can set it on the day and a family member can reset it later. It is corrosion free aluminium and plastic with non-slip ferrules, and it is light enough to move in and out of the recess easily.
It suits clients who fatigue standing in the shower, have balance concerns, or are recovering from surgery and need arm support for sit to stand. It is not designed to be used over a toilet; the Etac Swift Commode covers that.
