Tremor turns eating into a public problem long before it becomes a nutrition one. The Steady Spoon holds the bowl level through counterweights built into the spoon, so food stays put no matter where the arm is in the movement or how strong the shake is.
A hook and loop strap runs across the built up handle, which means the child does not need a reliable grasp to keep hold of it. That opens up self feeding for clients who would otherwise need hand over hand support for every mouthful.
The added weight gives proprioceptive input as well, which some children with sensory processing difficulties respond well to at the table. It washes in the dishwasher, so it fits into an ordinary family routine.
