The Centurian is a two layer cushion for a client at low to moderate risk of pressure injury who is out and about and does not want to think about their cushion. A layer of Akton polymer sits over a foam base, so the polymer handles the shear and the foam does the supporting.
Akton holds its position under the bony areas without needing topping up, checking or adjusting, which suits a client who cannot inspect their own equipment and a household where nobody is monitoring a cushion week to week. The whole cushion is sealed in waterproof film, so fluid cannot get into the layers.
It ships with a breathable double knit cover on a non slip base, and an incontinence cover is available where that is the concern. Covers come off and go through a domestic machine.
