Plenty of clients spend part of the day out of the wheelchair: on the floor with their kids, on a bench at the footy, on the edge of a pool, in the shed or in a mate’s car. Skin still needs protecting in all of those places. The Vicair AllRounder O2 is an activity cushion with a harness base, so it buckles onto the body and goes where the person goes.
The cushion is filled with SmartCells, which immerse the bony points and keep the loading spread while the person sits on hard or uneven surfaces. It is light to carry, breathable, and it gives some floatation support around water, which opens up swimming and hydrotherapy for clients who cannot sit unsupported on a pool edge.
Sizing is by hip width, and the whole thing washes in a machine, which suits a cushion that lives outdoors and gets used hard.
