The PRO Matt Plus is a powered pressure care system supplied with its own control unit, built for clients at established risk of pressure injury who spend long periods in bed.
Who it suits
It splits the surface into four zones across the head, shoulder, torso and foot, and an internal valve system senses how the client’s weight is distributed and adjusts each zone on its own. That happens continuously and without anyone setting it, so the surface keeps working as the client slides down the bed or is repositioned, and carers are not left guessing at inflation settings.
The control unit adds alternating pressure therapy with a choice of cycle times, plus static and auto-firm modes. Auto-firm gives a firm surface for transfers and for procedures at the bedside. A viscoelastic topper sits over the cells for immediate comfort, and a firm perimeter supports the client sitting on the edge of the bed.
