Because a child’s shape moves quickly, the pads adjust in angle, length and position, so a therapist can widen or lift the contact at review without replacing hardware. Fixed hardware suits a child who needs the support there all the time. Swing away hardware clears the way for a lift or a side transfer, and the extendable version adds width adjustment as the child grows.
