The contour cradles the pelvis and thighs, which holds the client in position and spreads weight over a much larger area of the seat surface.
Layers do different jobs: a Sunmate visco elastic overlay at the surface for immersion, a latex free urethane foam core for support, and reinforced inserts where the cushion needs to keep its shape under load. Four positioning pads are included so pelvic obliquity can be addressed at the fitting.
The cover is a four way stretch water resistant incontinence layer under a breathable moisture wicking outer, which keeps the seat surface manageable for clients who sit for long stretches.
