The CareWave micro particle cushions are for 24 hour positioning, in bed, in a chair or on a theatre table. They are filled with fine polystyrene micro particles, so the cushion moulds to whatever shape it is put against and holds it while still allowing the person to shift, which is the difference between support that is tolerated and support that gets pushed away.
Shapes cover most of the postural jobs you deal with: abduction for keeping the lower limbs separated, half moon for head, shoulder and trunk support, cylindrical to stop a forward fall, delta for side lying, ring for head support, decubitus for offloading shoulders, back, hips and knees. Between them you can build a lying position and repeat it accurately across shifts.
Covers are waterproof and breathable with an antibacterial treatment, so the same cushion can be cleaned between clients in a shared setting.
