Who it suits
Bariatric seating brings its own problems. Excess soft tissue limits how far the pelvis can be controlled, and a gluteal shelf can stop a client reaching the back support at all, which then shows up as back pain. The Spex XLella range is shaped for that reality.
This is the high contour version, with a deeper trough for clients who need more lateral stability and more pelvic capture. The foam construction is dense enough to hold its shape under load, and the shaping is refined for larger users so pressure is spread across the seating surface and relieved under the ischial tuberosities.
It is transport certified, which matters for clients travelling seated in a vehicle. Spare outer and incontinence covers are available separately for laundering, and an extra set of positioning pads can be ordered where a client’s shape is changing.
