Where a client needs a plain, hard wearing work surface on the chair, grey laminate does the job without adding visual noise. Papers, devices and activity materials all read clearly against it.
The core is melamine impregnated fibreboard, which keeps the tray rigid across its span, and the laminate face takes knocks and cleans up with a wipe. The body cutout is shaped to sit against the trunk so the forearms can rest on the surface.
The edge rim keeps items on the tray when the chair is moving, which matters in a school or day programme setting where the client travels between rooms.
