When a client sits with a centre mount tray and needs their legs held apart, this abductor kit gives you a way to add that support without rebuilding the seating. It is a Therafin kit built for the large pad, supplied with the pad and the mounting parts that fix it to the tray.
Mounting the abductor to the tray keeps the seat pan and cushion clear, which helps where a client transfers sideways or where the cushion is already doing a specific job. Once fitted, the pad sits centrally between the knees and discourages adduction and internal rotation through the day.
For carers it is one less thing to reposition. The pad stays with the tray, so it comes into place when the tray goes on and moves out of the way when the tray comes off.
