Some trunks need a back shaped to them on the day, in the chair. The Spex SuperShape is built for those clients. Behind the cover sits a triple-layered system of contouring cells that is set on the spot to match the client’s posture, so the shaping happens in the chair during the fitting rather than being sent away for modification and waited on.
It handles fixed or progressive presentations such as kyphosis, scoliosis and hyperlordosis, and clients with rib flare, a windswept trunk or prominent bony landmarks. The cell system captures asymmetry and gives immersion over prominences, which helps both pressure distribution and how long the client can tolerate sitting.
The cover is a four-way expansion fabric, so the surface follows the contour instead of tenting over the top of it, and it is breathable and washable. Two foam densities are supplied, one firmer and one more immersive, so the feel of the surface can be tuned after the shape is set. Mounting options run from single and dual through to quad fixed, heavy duty quad and direct mount, and laterals, head supports and belts from the Spex range fit the same shell.
