About this product

This is the foam inner for the Supershape back support, the part that does the shaping. It is supplied as a replacement or a spare where a shell is already in service and the padding needs renewing.

The inner is built in triple layered cube contouring cells, with two foam densities included: a firmer foam for a solid foundation and a softer one for comfort at the surface. Cells can be added or taken out anywhere across the back, which is how the support gets shaped around a kyphosis, a scoliosis or a prominent spinous process.

Because the shaping is done by hand at the chair, the back can be re-shaped at any later review. An expansion fabric cover over the cells lets the contour deepen without thinning the padding over bony points.
