In freewheel mode the ev¹ can be pushed, but the steering geometry of the front wheels makes it heavier work than it needs to be. The Freewheel Kit lifts the front wheels clear and replaces them with castors, so the chair rolls with much less drag.
It clips to the centre beam with a quick snap fitting and needs no tools, which matters when it has to go on and come off at a boarding gate.
