A footrest is only useful if the feet stay on it. The full width footrest for the Starfish Pro gives both feet a single plate to rest on and mounts to the chair’s adjustable leg profile, so the height is set to the client rather than to the chair.
Loading the feet properly helps the whole seated position: the pelvis stays back, the knees stay where you put them and the person is less likely to push into extension during a shower. For a carer it means the legs are not being caught and lifted every time the chair is moved.
It is supplied in three sizes to suit the three chair sizes, and a padded cushion can be added over it.
