Where a client sits with a posterior pelvic tilt and slides forward in the seat, a flat back panel gives them nothing to sit back into. The sacrum support back for the Starfish Pro is shaped to fill in behind the pelvis, so the sacrum is contacted and the pelvis is held back in the seat.
That contact point does a lot of work in a wet area. It keeps the person from sliding towards the hygiene opening, reduces shear on the skin over the sacrum during a shower, and gives the laterals and headrest a stable base to work from.
It comes with its own cushion in a pressure relieving, fluid repellent cover that strips off for cleaning, and the panel height can be adjusted on the chair as the child grows.
