Some rooms have nowhere to put a grab rail. Tiled walls, plasterboard with no noggins, a bath in the middle of a wall or a rental where you cannot drill at all. The Stander Security Pole is tension fitted between floor and ceiling, so it gives a full length handhold anywhere there is a flat ceiling above.
The person can grip it at whatever height suits the task, which makes it useful beside the bath, at the toilet, next to the bed or beside a favourite chair. It comes apart and moves to another room, or to another house, without patching holes.
It needs a flat, structurally sound ceiling and a firm floor, so it is not for vaulted ceilings or for standing on a loose rug.
