Sliding forward and down in a chair is one of the most common seating problems you will see, and it usually ends with a carer hooking under the arms to haul the person back. The One Way Slide and Lock solves it from underneath. The fabric lets the person move back into the chair easily, then locks against forward movement so they stay where you put them.
The result is a better sitting posture held for longer, which helps with comfort, breathing, eating and the pressure care plan. It can be used in a wheelchair, an armchair or a bed, and it works with one carer, two carers, or by the client on their own where they have the strength to reposition themselves.
Handles are spaced evenly along it so a carer can get a grip at the right point without bending deep over the chair, and extension straps can be added where the height difference is awkward. Open ended and tubular versions are available.
