Travel chairs get judged on how they behave at the boot of a car, and this one is built for that moment. The frame is aluminium and very light, the backrest folds fully flat and the whole chair comes down small enough to carry, with a carry case included.
The armrests fold up for side transfers and the swing away footrests are lightweight and foldable. Dual brakes are fitted, along with a parking brake on the push handle so the carer can lock the chair without bending down. For a client who walks short distances but cannot manage an airport, a shopping centre or a long day out, it is the chair that actually gets taken along.
It is set up for transit use, with a carer pushing.
