A long separator placed between the legs to keep them apart from thigh to ankle, protecting skin from skin contact along the whole limb. Clients with adductor tone, contracture or oedema often develop moisture and pressure problems where the knees and ankles meet, and this keeps that contact broken overnight.
The full length is the point: a short cushion between the knees still leaves the ankles touching. Holding the legs apart along their length also keeps the hips in a more even position, which supports the wider body shape work you are doing with the client.
It comes as a pillow, with frotte and washable covers available for regular laundering.
