The Fastfit Deluxe is the step up from the standard Fastfit, with divided leg sections that are padded and shaped rather than flat. The shaping is what gives extra support under the thigh and around the hip, and it is the difference for a client who finds an ordinary sling digs in or lets them slide forward.
This listing is the Large in Silva-Superfine Plus, a 3D spacer mesh. The fabric redistributes pressure across the contact area, lets air through and dries quickly, which is why it is used both for bathing and for slings that stay under a client for extended periods. Colour coded loop tapes on the shoulder and leg straps let carers set the seated angle, and the leg sections can be crossed or run in a hammock position depending on how the client needs to be held. A small hygiene aperture handles toileting.
It fits any loop-fixing spreader bar, so it is not tied to one brand of hoist.
Who it suits
A client hoisted for most transfers who has fair head control but needs comfort at the thighs and hips: arthritis, hip pain or fragile skin. The padded legs and spacer fabric make it a sound choice where the sling is left under the client in the chair between transfers. A client with poor head control should be fitted with a Silvalea sling that includes head support instead.
