The ShowerGlyde SG1 is a sliding transfer bench for a client who cannot step over the side of a bath. The person sits on the seat outside the bath, then slides along the rails and over the rim, so the transfer is done seated the whole way and nobody has to lift a leg over an edge.
It locks at two points, inside the bath and outside it, which is what keeps the rails stable while the person moves along them. Legs adjust for height to suit the bath and the floor, and a grab bar and seat belt come with it. There is a choice of seats, including a commode opening and a solid insert, so the same bench can serve a client who needs to toilet as well as bathe.
The SG1 is designed for bathrooms where nothing sits alongside the bath, such as a vanity or a toilet, so the rails have clear run at both ends. It installs without any building work.
