This is the TubBuddy transfer system with a tilting seat, supplied with the rotating base and the bridge. The tilt lets the carer lean the person back so the feet and lower legs clear the rim of the bath during the slide across, which takes the lifting out of the hardest part of the transfer.
Tilt is also useful once the person is in position. Holding someone slightly reclined through a shower gives pressure relief and helps a client with poor trunk control stay settled without working to stay upright. The tilt locks anywhere through its range.
The chair rolls over most standard toilets and works as a commode, so one seat covers toileting and showering. Arms remove or flip back, footrests swing away, and there are lap, chest and calf straps plus an adjustable neck rest.
