Weighing a wheelchair user should not mean a transfer. This scale has a low platform with ramps at both ends, so the chair rolls on, the reading is taken, and the chair rolls off again.
Side rails keep the chair tracking straight and stop a wheel dropping off the edge, and the rubber pad on the platform holds the tyres still while the display settles. The weight of each regular wheelchair can be stored and deducted automatically, which gives you the client’s own weight without any arithmetic and without pulling the chair apart.
It folds in a few steps and rolls away on its own castors, so a shared clinic room or a community health service can put it out only when it is needed. Data can be sent straight into an electronic medical record.
