Thigh straps work with the TRAM pelvic support to stop the thighs sliding forward out of the support during standing and walking practice. They are useful for clients with low tone or poor trunk control who tend to slip down once they relax into the device.
Keeping the thighs held means the client stays upright in a consistent position through the session, so the standing time actually counts. It also removes the interruption of resetting a client who has slid, which is where a lot of session time goes.
They are available in narrow and wide, as a pair or as a single strap where only one side needs it, and they are machine washable for infection control in a shared setting.
