A TRAM used in a facility rarely gets a quiet period on charge. A second battery is how you keep it working.
One battery runs the lift while the other charges, so the device is never sitting idle waiting for power in the middle of a shift. For a ward, a rehab gym or a group home where the same TRAM covers several clients and several transfers an hour, that is the difference between a planned program and a scrambled one.
It is also worth having where a client is on a supported walking program with regular sessions across the day, because gait work uses the lift more often than a simple transfer routine does.
Rifton recommends an additional battery for institutional use. The TRAM frame comes with one battery and a charger, so this item is the spare.
We are Tasmanian owned and hold TRAM parts locally.
