Where skin is being exposed to moisture day after day, a barrier that stays put is what protects it. Hydraguard is a silicone based barrier cream that holds off moisture while still letting skin breathe, so it suits perineal care and any area under a brief or a dressing margin.
The silicone blend is carried with Medline’s Phytoplex botanicals, including soy protein and yeast extract, encapsulated vitamin D, sandalwood, safflower oil and green tea, plus sodium hyaluronate and glycerin to hold moisture in the skin. It goes on for general body use as well as perineal use.
The formula is free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, latex and petroleum, and it has been dermatologist and paediatrician tested, which helps when you are writing it into a plan for a client with reactive skin. Clients with a silicone allergy should not use it.
