Some clients can walk short distances but run out of legs partway through an outing. This walker does both jobs: it works as a seat walker while they are walking, then converts to a transit chair so a carer can push them for the rest of the trip.
Swing away leg rests and a walking stick holder come with it, and the backrest is padded for real sitting time. Soft operation hand brakes are easy to squeeze, and the carer has proper push handles when the walker is in transit mode.
Who it suits
It works well for clients with fatigue, cardiac or respiratory limits, and for anyone whose walking distance changes through the day. The carer needs to be confident pushing and applying the brakes on slopes.
