A non weight bearing foot is the classic case for a knee walker. The client rests the affected leg on a padded platform and drives the frame along with the good leg, which keeps them upright, keeps their hands free of crutches and takes the load off the shoulders and wrists.
The knee platform on this model is contoured and padded, adjusts for height and sits offset, so it can be set for a left or a right leg without buying a different unit. The handlebars adjust too, which matters for taller clients who would otherwise be hunched over the frame. A dual locking brake works from either hand, so the walker can be parked before a transfer.
Large pneumatic wheels are the reason it handles driveways, gravel and uneven paths as well as smooth indoor floors. A wire basket lifts off, there are holders for a walking stick, and the frame folds down for the boot.
