The Katie Low Back Chair is a multi adjustable day chair designed in Australia, for a client who needs a seat set to them. Seat height adjusts in small steps, so you can set it for safe sit to stand and still have the client’s feet flat on the floor.
The backrest is contoured and set slightly back from vertical, supporting the lumbar and lower thoracic spine while leaving the shoulders free to move. The armrests are large and padded, which gives the client something solid to push up from. The low back keeps the chair usable at a table and easier for a carer to work around.
Rear wheels let a carer move it without lifting, and the backrest folds for transport, so it can travel between rooms or between a home and respite. The epoxy powder coated frame and vinyl upholstery wipe clean, which is why it holds up in shared and clinical settings as well as at home. A matching adjustable leg rest is available separately where elevation is needed, and the chair comes in five colours.
